I'm an employer interested in recruiting at a job fair

On September 27th at 6:00 p.m. we will host a Student Career Opportunities event for the following school districts: Deer Park, Harborfields, North Babylon, Northport, South Huntington, Huntington, & Western Suffolk BOCES.  This is a collaborative regional effort created by Recruit Long Island, Workforce Development Institute, South Huntington Union Free School District and Western Suffolk BOCES.

The event will allow employers to connect directly with hundreds of students, parents, and educators, as they make long-term educational and career choices.  As an employer, you'll have an opportunity to connect with hundreds of potential future employees who aim to achieve a variety of academic levels (HS diploma, college degree, masters degree, trade school, etc.).  This is not a job fair, but rather, an opportunity to showcase the incredible career opportunities on Long Island, so that students will apply to you when they are ready to begin their careers.
This event will make the vital industry and education connections needed to access thriving careers on Long Island. The event will begin with a demo fair (employers showcasing what their company does), followed by a panel discussion moderated by James Beard Award-winner Dan Pashman. Panelists include senior executives from BAE Systems, Estee Lauder, Northwell Health, IPS Solutions and Eldor.  After the panel discussion, attendees will be invited to attend breakout sessions where they can speak directly to employers, or return to the demo fair.

We've invited the stakeholders that guide the post-secondary education and career decisions - All 12,604 students enrolled in grades 9-12 along with parents, teachers, guidance counselors and curriculum development staff. Aimed at putting people in jobs on Long Island and building a workforce pipeline for our employers, attendees will leave with an understanding of how the STEAM subjects taught in High School translate to “real world” careers.

Join us in creating opportunitiy for Long Island's future. Any and all donations can be sent through our paypal link www.paypal.me/SHEFINC, checks should be made out to SHEF or South Huntington Educational Foundation.
