Vista High School is having a Job & Career Fair on Thursday, March 7th, 2019 at lunch (11:30-12:30) on our campus in the Gym and the Main Quad. This event is sponsored by the Vista Workability program. Who should participate:
Career speakers who can answer a student’s questions about their occupation should attend. Speakers should be able to not only talk about their own job but as well about their industry, field, and organization.
Employers who hire High School students are encouraged to apply. All 2500 students will be present at this event. Students are looking for future opportunities and careers at companies and organizations just like yours.
Businesses who would like to offer internships or job shadow experiences are encouraged to promote their programs.
Organizations who would like to recruit for volunteers and community service experiences.
Colleges and other institutions of learning are encouraged to attend as most students will be looking for a pathway to a career and that almost always includes additional education and training. For each participant:
You will be provided with a 3ft x 6ft table with 2 chairs and you are free to bring any materials, flyers or displays that you need to use. If you have a standard table size display for trade shows - the table is about the same size as most convention facilities.
If you have a 10x10 tent we can set you up outside in the main quad instead of inside of the GYM if you prefer (unless weather prevents ). Those with larger displays are encouraged to use the outside Main Quad.
If you need special needs such as power or have a complex setup (such as a booth), please contact us prior to the event day so we can accommodate your needs.
Do I need a ticket for each member of my group?
You only need to register one person in the group. We will be contacting you to get the names of the those attending in your group prior to the event. You are reserving a table with your ticket.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There will be parking available to participants in our campus lots. Please indicate if you need more than one parking space. There will be room up front in the parking lot to unload materials or equipment.
What can I bring to the event?
You are encouraged to bring hand-outs, flyers and other materials. You should be bringing table covers or backdrops that identify your organization to the students at a glance. You can bring your own booth, however, please coordinate with us on larger setup beyond a single table. If you want to bring a larger setup such as a 10x10 tent or a van/coach, please contact us so we can make the proper preparations.

What happens if it rains that day?
The event is mainly in the GYM so weather is not an issue. If you are planning on being in the Main Quad, we can move you inside for the event.
