Guest Facilitator: Julia Carpenter
Julia Carpenter is an award-winning Toastmaster speaker. As one of the founding or charter members of the Watertown Saturday Toastmasters, she has inspired others through her many speeches on a multitude of subjects as well as mentoring new members. Encouraging them to reach for the best in themselves and the best in others. She has been chair of several Toastmaster committees including the Speech Contest, Watertown Faire on the Square and the District 35 New Member.
Julia turned her 10+ year experience in banking, rising through the ranks from Teller to Manager and finally Banking Officer with projects impacting seven states, into a consulting business for people looking to reinvent themselves later in life. She is currently working/coaching several people starting their own companies as well as other projects mostly involving non-profits.
Julia’s experience and talent for communicating ideas well helps her clients see problems as opportunities and gives them a clear path forward. She is able to use her project management skills to turn goals and ideas into concrete, actionable, doable steps.
She is known for her curiosity and unusual perspective. Finding joy in travel, tai chi, sampling different cuisines, jazz music, art and photography gives her a unique point of view.
