The California Employment Development Department is holding its first evening San Diego County Honor a Hero, Hire a Vet Job and Resources Fair from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 14, at the North County Coastal Career Center, 1949 Avenida Del Oro, Oceanside CA.
The free event is open to the public with an emphasis on veterans, National Guard members, active-duty military and their families. It focuses on jobs, tools and resources military members will need to make the transition to the civilian workplace.
Government agencies and community organizations also will be on hand to provide information on employment, benefits, training, education and apprenticeships, as well as other veteran services.
