Do you want to make a difference working for economic and social justice? We are hiring community canvassers to do exciting, impactful work among low income communities in the Triangle. The Fight for $15 Campaign has become one of the largest and most momentous organizing campaigns for low wage workers across the country. As part of a global movement, thousands of workers are standing up for “$15 and union rights.” The Fight for $15 has been extremely successful as we have won wage increases for over 20 million workers since 2013.
 MAIN FUNCTION 
To identify and sign up workers in the greater community. This includes engaging workers at or near their work place, areas of public transit, and in the community. The ideal candidate will have:

Passion about economic and social justice
Ability to engage and inspire people from diverse backgrounds.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
This position is an hourly, temporary position paying $17/hour with the potential to extend.
