It is the goal of the Macomb County ACES committee to bridge the gap between employers and adults with disabilities. By personally meeting and qualifying potential candidates, employers can assess ABILITY and potential, two qualities that may not transcend a resume.
The job fair takes place at the Macomb Intemediate School District's meeting facilities and follows a traditional career fair format. A continental breakfast with an orientation meeting for employers is scheduled to start the event. The orientation's purpose is to offer tips and insights into the process of interviewing a candidate with differing abilities.
A variety of Macomb County agencies exist to assist individuals with disabilties in creating and living the life of their choosing, including community supports and employment.
