Barrier Free Living is actively seeking Social Workers** to join our team at our Bronx-based Supportive Housing Program.
Barrier Free Living has been working with people with disabilities in New York City since 1981.
We work with survivors of domestic violence with disabilities (both single and families). We are looking for dedicated, passionate team members to do direct service with this special population.
Qualified candidates can potentially be hired on spot**.  View our employment listings here. 
We will consider experienced social workers, especially those who have worked in supportive housing, domestic violence, and disability including mental health fields. We also will consider new social work graduates and last semester social work graduate students.

**To be considered for immediate hire, please bring the followiing documents:

A PPD (Tuberculosis Test) result done within the last year.

You must have at least two forms of identification: such as – (a) Passport (b) identification card with your photo (Driver’s License/Permit), (c) social security card and (c) birth certificate.

Educational/training certificates. Positions require New York State LMSW, or MSW with License Permit.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Take the 6 local train to the Cypress Avenue stop (3 stops past 125th Street). The location is one block from the subway at 637 East 138th Street. 
 What can I bring into the event?
Please bring your resume, certificates, licenses and degree certificate. Also bring three professional letters of reference.
