The Sadie Tanner Conference

February 23rd, 2019
8:00 am – 5:30 pm
1100 First Street Northeast ##1200 Washington District of Columbia 20002

The Sadie Tanner Conference, founded by Anna Opoku-Agyeman and Fanta Traore, is a space for Black women in economics. Conference attendees will hear from established and emerging economists through panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities throughout the day. The event will also include a small job fair where recruiters can interact with attendees.
The conference is geared towards bringing together Black women interested in economics and economics-related fields, and we encourage Black female undergraduates majoring in public policy, mathematics, statistics, or economics to attend. Furthermore, we also invite Black female professors, professionals, and post-baccalaureate students.
NOTE: There is limited space for this conference (approximately 100 seats) and we would like to maximize the number of black females that attend. If you are interested in supporting our initiative, please donate. Thank you!
