Our mission here at Tau Iota Mu Psi, Inc. is clear; to promote the education of women as a means of encouraging their independence. By doing so, we hope to offer women from all over the country an opportunity to earn opportunities, scholarships and rewards towards their education, business ventures and employment.
Our organization is now putting together a team of diligent leaders to make up our Board of Directors. With only (3) positions remaining we are looking for men and women who can share our vision, take action and lead our organization to the forefront of education and the unification amongst women. The Business Breakfast is where prospects will come together; discuss tools and ideas to which they can bring to the organization for their chance to earn a position amongst our board of managers.
Who is the Board of Directors in a Non-Profit organization? A Board of Directors is a body of elected or appointed members who jointly oversee the activities of a company or organization. The payoff for these Board of Directors include enhancing their professional reputations, compensation, meeting other influential people in their community, learning about community needs, and feeling good about their contribution to the community welfare.
Tau Iota Mu Psi, Inc. is the first of its kind, a Greek cyber-sisterhood providing opportunities, sisterhood, and advice and much more at the very fingertips of women from all over the world right from their digital device. The fee associated with this opportunity is strictly for confirmation of attendance as we ask that all individuals who register for this event please be mindful of the fact that space is limited and therefore attendance is mandatory.
What are we looking for? The Board will support the work of Tau Iota Mu Psi, Inc. and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance while day-to-day operations are led by the board appointed CEO. This is an EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITY to an individual who is passionate about our mission here at Tau Iota Mu Psi, Inc. and who has a track record of board leadership. Selected board members will have achieved leadership stature in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
•Extensive professional experience with significant executive leadership accomplishments in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector
•A commitment to and understanding of Tau Iota Mu Psi, Inc. beneficiaries, preferably based on experience
•Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals
•Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of Tau Iota Mu Psi, Inc. beneficiaries
Service on Tau Iota Mu Psi, Inc. Board of Directors is initially without remuneration, except for administrative support, travel, and accommodation costs in relation to Board Members’ duties.
