I'm an employer interested in recruiting at a job fair

The MCIWEST-MCB Civilian Human Resources Office (CHRO), in partnership with the MCIWEST-MCB Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), Employment Team will be conducting a third hiring event called "Operation Rapid Hire 3.0" specifically for Veterans Recruitment Authority (VRA) eligible candidates. Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA) is an excepted authority that allows agencies, to appoint eligible veterans without competition, capitalizing on the skills and talents of our transitioning service members and Veterans. We understand and appreciate the experience and education gained through military service, and utilizing the Veterans Recruitment Authority (VRA) provide our eligible Vets a non-competitive platform for which to gain Federal employment. Building upon success of previous Veteran targeted hiring events we’ve expanded our invitation to other military installations in the region, i.e. MCLB Barstow, MCAS Miramar, MCRD San Diego, and MCAS Yuma, AZ.
BENEFITS TO APPLICANTS: Greater opportunity and several locations in So. Cal and Arizona for which to secure a Federal job!
BENEFITS TO HIRING MANAGERS: Tap into a vast pool of qualified candidates with expressed interest in your organization and location!
This event will be conducted in a career fair layout to allow hiring managers and candidates to engage one another based on the job seekers interest for specific occupations. This will ensure candidates gain necessary information on the organization, and also affords hiring managers the opportunity to speak to all attendees and conduct interviews at manager’s discretion.
Qualified applicants may be interviewed THE DAY OF THE EVENT! Event concludes at 1800 but interviews may continue until 1900.
Although this initiative is targeted to Veteran Recruitment Appointment (VRA) eligible candidates, we encourage all applicants with non-competitive eligibility (current federal employees, reinstatements, etc) to attend.
