The Greater Houston Business Leadership Network (GHBLN) in partnership with the Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract and Compliance Programs (OFCCP), the Texas Workforce Solutions Vocational Rehabilitation Services, the Department of Veteran Affairs, Workforce Solutions, Whataburger, Health and Human Services Commission, and the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities invites you to participate in the 4th Annual Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities Hiring Event and Business Symposium on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. This event will be located at the United Way Community Resource Center, 50 Waugh Dr., Houston, TX 77007.  
 
Timeline of events on May 29, 2018:
7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. - Hiring Event Employer Check In
8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Hiring Event
11:30 a.m to 11:45 a.m. - Breakdown & Transition
11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Business Luncheon Symposium
 
Note: The Business Symposium is limited to only Federal Contractors and other businesses, not for job seekers.
 
Registration:
Registration is free and is required for participation in the Hiring Event and or Business Symposium Luncheon. You now able to reserve your spot to participate in the Hiring Event and Business Symposium.
All seats are limited and this event is expected to fill up fast. Please do not wait to register for this exciting event!
 
Important Information for Employers:
Employers participating in the hiring event are encouraged to become registered with Work in Texas at www.workintexas.com.
Please arrive at 7:30a.m. to allow time for check in and table set-up, the hiring event will begin at 8:00a.m. and break down of employer tables will be at 11:30a.m. Following the job fair there will be a business symposium for federal contractors and other employers which will provide information regarding Section 503 compliance and building a diverse workforce using registered apprenticeships.  Lunch will be provided and SHRM credit may be available.
